An 83-year-old woman was found unresponsive in the pool area at the Esporta Fitness gym on Southeast Road Friday afternoon. An ambulance took her to the hospital, police said.

Police and fire personnel were called to Esporta Fitness on Southeast Road around 1:30 p.m. for a report of an older woman in medical distress, Lt. Tim McKenzie said in an email.
McKenzie said Farmington police and members of the East Farmington Fire Department responded and found the woman “unresponsive in the pool area.”
An ambulance took the woman to a hospital. McKenzie could not provide further details as of 3 p.m.
