CrossFit gyms finds ways to stay afloat during COVID-19 pandemic

FREMONT —  The COVID-19 pandemic brought a whole lot of frustration for bars and eating places, but the health and fitness sector also felt the sting of shutdowns and constraints.

Quite a few fitness centers had been shut for three months or longer thanks to the pandemic that was spreading like wildfire in Ohio throughout spring and slide.

When his health and fitness center was pressured to near March 16, 2020, Tom Cost was pissed off he did not have an opportunity to make that decision himself. When the doorways to CrossFit 1926 remained shut, Price rented out machines for associates to use for dwelling exercises.

“We had a decide on-up day wherever folks could appear in and get something they desired that we experienced in our health club. We just signed it out, we place down who it was [and] what they were being obtaining so we realized when they brought it again we were being finding everything that they took,” Price tag explained. “They had been having dumbbells, kettlebells, med balls, bikes, rowers— anything at all they get their palms on striving to do something at dwelling.”
